Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is funded by a one year grant from the Presser Foundation. It is not automatically renewed each year. The Presser Scholarship shall be given to an outstanding music major, at or after the end of his or her junior year. The student is to be designated a "Presser Scholar". The award is intended to be a prestigious one recognizing excellence. Announcement of the selection of the "Presser Scholar" is requested to be made in appropriate ways, publicly if possible. The student selected should be identified by the music faculty and the decision communicated by the head of music to The Presser Foundation with a brief statement about the student.
