The cross disciplinary climate science minor provides students with an interdisciplinary understanding of the Earth's climate systems. The program aims to equip students with the basic scientific knowledge and analytical skills necessary to comprehend one of the great challenges facing humanity, that of climate change. By earning a minor in Climate Science at JMU, students gain an understanding of this critical body of knowledge to prepare for graduate work in climate science and/or for careers in a wide range of fields, including environmental policy, sustainability, energy, and more.
The requirement for a minor in climate science is 18 credit hours.
