The minor is a part of the Department of Kinesiology, a program within the College of Health and Behavioral Studies.
This minor is designed to provide students with quality coach education aligned with the guidelines required by the National Committee for the Accreditation of Coaching Education (Level 3). The minor program is committed to preparing students to be competent sport coaches who have the knowledge and skills to create a safe, fair, and positive sport environment and promote holistic athlete development.
The requirement for a minor in coaching education is 21 credit hours.
