This cross disciplinary minor helps students to acquire a deeper understanding of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Latinxs in the U.S.
Participants in the minor are strongly encouraged to pursue course work in foreign languages including Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Participants in the minor are also encouraged to explore the possibility of studying in a Latin American or Caribbean country for a semester or summer session.
The requirement for a minor in latin American, latinx and carribbean studies is 18 credit hours. Students must select courses in at least three different disciplines with no more than 9 credit hours from any discipline.
