Open to all JMU undergraduate students, the general music minor develops both the performing and non-performing musician's understanding of music.
The requirement for a minor in music is 18 credit hours, conditioned on the successful completion of six credit hours drawn from three areas – fundamentals, literature and history, and electives. Students must earn 50 percent of the required curriculum at JMU.
