I’m currently a master’s student in Dr. Kristin Yoshimura’s lab studying the microbial community composition of the James River rock pool ecosystem. My research interests include marine and aquatic microbiology, deep sea biology, marine invertebrate biodiversity, and bioinformatics. I received dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Delaware in marine science and biology and completed an honors thesis on light activated DNA repair mechanisms in freshwater Actinobacteria.
