The JMU RN-BSN program accepts College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) test credit for co-requisite and general education courses only. CLEP test credit for nursing and pre-requisite courses is not accepted. Students may access the undergraduate course catalog to view which courses qualify for CLEP credit.

Students interested in submitting their CLEP test results for credit should request their scores to be sent to JMU through CollegeBoard. Request scores through CollegeBoard.

Students interested in taking a CLEP test for credit:

• CLEP through CollegeBoard - CollegeBoard offers CLEP exams at official CLEP test centers or at home with remote proctoring. Exams cost $95 plus test center or remote proctoring administration fee.
• CLEP through Modern States - Modern States is a non-profit dedicated to providing a pathway to college education free of cost and accessible to any person who seeks one. Students who choose to take a CLEP exam through Modern States can request a CLEP voucher that will pay for the exam (following completion of coursework and practice questions.)
