Class of 2026

After high school, Abby didn’t know where in the realm of math and science she wanted to go. ISAT intrigued her because of its exploratory nature; she felt she could find her true passion there. Abby wanted to guide freshmen, undecided students, and those considering a new major to choose ISAT. The program has a wide range of fields that allow students to explore their passions and discover new interests. “ISAT opened so many doors for me, and I want to share those opportunities with everyone.”

Abby participates in Theta Tau, Sigma Kappa, and the student leadership group Who Runs the World, Girls! She spends her free time cooking, running, surfing, and hanging out with friends.

How is ISAT preparing you for your future?

“ISAT combines hands-on experience in biotechnology and renewable energy with interdisciplinary skills, allowing me to tackle real-world challenges and build a versatile foundation for my career using systems thinking.”

Advice for prospective students

“Don't come into ISAT knowing exactly what you want to do! We learn several subjects over the first two years in the program that allow you to figure out what you want to do. You can also take different sectors within ISAT and build a tailored concentration so you can choose what classes you want in your junior and senior years.”
