The Information Security (Infosec) MBA program at James Madison University (JMU) and the National Defense University's (NDU) Information Resources Management College (IRMC) agree to a joint mission to provide extended academic opportunities to IRMC students. The IRMC students who finish information assurance certificate programs at NDU will be given up to twelve transfer credit hours towards completing their MBA program at JMU, once they are formally accepted to the Infosec MBA program. The main objectives of this collaborative arrangement between the Infosec MBA program and IRMC include:

  • Provide an opportunity for the IRMC students to continue with their quality education after finishing their Information Assurance Certification at IRMC and earn an Infosec MBA degree at James Madison University.

  • Help the JMU Infosec MBA program recruit quality students from NDU.

  • Leverage the strengths and resources of both programs to provide students with a high quality education.

Both institutions have as a mission to offer high quality graduate level programs in information assurance. It is recognized that while both of the partners provide unique programs, the interface of both programs will result in a new educational synergy that will have a significant impact on the effectiveness of information assurance education for both programs.
