Summer Bridge Program for First-Generation College Students
Starting college is a huge step for anyone, and if you’re like the 17 percent of JMU undergraduates who are also first-generation students, navigating new classes, surroundings and relationships can be especially challenging.
The JMU College of Business community is here to guide and support you through its Business Bound program, which is designed to help first-generation students transition into their first year of enrollment in the CoB by empowering and encouraging those who are the first in their families to pursue a college degree.
Participate in social activities, get paired with a peer mentor and attend academic preparation workshops to build your support system and familiarize yourself with campus resources.
