Literacy Leader Awards 2025

This year's Literacy Leader Awards event will be on February 27, 2025, from 4:30-6:30pm in Memorial Hall, room 6110.

Dr. Kristen Conradi SmithOur featured speaker is Dr. Kristin Conradi Smith from William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA. She will present:

Confronting Myths and Missteps of the Science of Reading Shift Show. The central goal of the science of reading is to ensure students' reading proficiency and success, but -as with any movement-some misunderstandings have surfaced. She'll address both myths and missteps and suggest how we might move forward amid the many changes in Virginia.

2026 nominations will open January 2026.
