Mrs. Moyers taught for 23 years in private and public education. During her teaching career, she held various teaching positions in the Staunton City and Rockingham County areas. Mrs. Moyers’ teaching experiences include: teaching special education classes for students with autism and emotional disabilities, teaching alternative education, and teaching kindergarten and second grades in the general education setting. Mrs. Moyers also worked as a reading specialist at John Wayland Elementary School in Rockingham County. In the Fall of 2019, Mrs. Moyers joined the VDOE Region 5 T-TAC team at JMU where she currently works as an education coordinator focusing on school quality and literacy programs. In her free time, Mrs. Moyers enjoys hiking, singing, reading, and spending time with her family.
