Emily Stewart has 12 years of experience teaching in elementary and middle school classrooms. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, she has taught in Charlotte, Burlington, Blacksburg, and Harrisonburg. She has taught French immersion, upper elementary, and middle school mathematics. She has served her school communities as a mentor teacher, team leader, and running coach. Her experiences in public schools, a magnet program, a private parent-teacher cooperative school, and rural and urban communities have shaped her appreciation for diverse learners and inclusive teaching strategies.

Emily is Safe Zone trained and looks forward to talking with you, learning with you, and supporting you. She also has a passion for languages and eagerly embraces opportunities to learn new words and improve her communication with others.
