Nathan Selove graduated with a B.A. in political science and communication studies advocacy from James Madison University. He then attended the University of Northern Iowa where he received his M.A. in communication with a concentration in performance studies and a focus on disability. He went on to teach as an adjunct at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. He also coached the forensics teams at both the University of Northern Iowa and George Mason University. His academic focus thus far has been on the rhetoric of disability activism from a social model perspective. He is an autistic self-advocate who has given talks and presentations about Autism, disability, and service dogs to multiple organizations on the local, national, and international level.
Nathan is accompanied by his beloved service dog named Blake. In his free time he loves reading, video games, visiting the beach, and critiquing movies and TV shows with his partner
