Rylee Dangerfield grew up in a small town just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah and is excited to explore the Eastern United States now that she has moved to Virginia to pursue an MA in English. She graduated from Utah State University as a dual major and earned a BS in English Literature and Psychology. Her passion for reading sparked when she was very young, and, after entering college, discovered her passion for human psychology and behavior. During her undergraduate studies, Rylee found that the two fields tended to overlap and spent much of her later undergraduate studies focused on research that approached literary analysis from a humanistic psychological perspective. She loves Romantic and Victorian literature as well as more contemporary feminist literature. Memoirs hold a special place in her literary heart—especially memoirs from the 1960s.

Apart from academia, Rylee loves to travel. She spent a semester abroad in England as an undergrad and recently backpacked Western Europe with her sister. She also loves to walk, listen to music, cook new recipes, and go to the beach. In the future, Rylee hopes to pursue a career as a literary agent or editor. One day, she would like to pursue a PhD and share her passion for literature as a professor at a university.
