Angela Rona Estavillo (known to most as Angel) was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and raised near Baltimore, Maryland. Previously, she was a Writing Fellow at Towson University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English, and worked as a writing expert for Proofit at Grammarly. Angel’s primary areas of interest include ecocriticism, disability studies, and cultural/linguistic hybridity. With a commitment to disability- and trauma-informed pedagogy, she seeks to foster accessible, compassionate, and transformative engagement with language and literature.

Angel is also a poet whose work has been published in Cagibi, Cordite Poetry Review, and other journals. Outside of her academic and writerly pursuits, she loves hiking, sustainable fashion, narrative-rich video games, and milk tea.
