Nikema Bell is a scholar of language and literature with a diverse array of creative abilities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literatures in English and Creative Writing from the University of the West Indies (2022). She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in English, specializing in Victorian and Postcolonial Caribbean Literature. Nikema's academic experience includes teaching undergraduate general education classes, serving as a student ambassador for the English department, and providing support for incoming and current international students at the International Students Scholar Service (ISSS). She is also a member of the Sigma Tau Delta honor society and a graduate assistant at Furious Flower Poetry Center where she serves as a copyeditor, transcriber and podcast assistant. Nikema aspires to attain a Ph.D. in English, focusing on exploring the connection between mental health and creativity in literature. With a unique blend of academic depth and creative pursuits, Nikema Bell aims to make a meaningful impact in the field of literature and beyond.
