2/25/2025 | 11:00a.m. | Understanding the Experiences of College Students with Disabilities | Academic Affairs: Student Success Analytics | Faculty, Staff & Students | General DEI, Accessibility or Belonging Activity/Initiative |
This session will present the findings of a research project that sought to understand the lived experiences of college students with disabilities, including academics, social life, belonging, support services, accessibility, and well-being. Individuals with disabilities bring valuable diversity to campuses but are often unrecognized in conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion. The results provide a rich snapshot of their common experiences, both positive and negative. The findings can help practitioners imagine ways to create a more inclusive, welcoming, and supportive campus for all students |
