Kappa Alpha Order may not conduct any education, activities, events, or celebrations for new members during the period of Organizational Interim Suspension (includes pledges and individuals who are extended bids to Kappa Alpha Order and have not yet accepted a bid to Kappa Alpha Order). Kappa Alpha Order may still operate as a recognized student organization by conducting administrative functions, including but not limited to chapter meetings, philanthropy, community service, participation in university sponsored events, recruitment of new members, and bid extension to new members.

Incident(s) Description:
During a chapter meeting on 2/6/23, members were confirmed via security footage to have vaped and consumed alcohol in a university building and remained in the building after it had closed.
Outcome(s):
Individual members that were found responsible for drinking and vaping in Memorial Hall were put on specific privileges restrictions and/or required to attend substance misuse workshops with University Recreation. The chapter president is to meet regularly with the IFC Coordinator to monitor completion of the sanctions.
