Incident(s) Description:
In the course of investigating a report of hazing, it was determined that at an event during Spring 2023 the following behaviors occurred: alcohol provided to underage new members during a chapter event; alcohol consumed by underage new members during a chapter event; assigned sober monitoring; forced designated driver assignments;
forced cleaning.
Outcome(s):
Disciplinary Probation through Fall 2023, with monthly meetings with FSL and the relevant Executive Board member
Sober Monitor/Health & Safety Education workshop to be completed by the entire executive board due by October 15, 2023
Social Event Management Education workshop to be completed by 80% of the chapter due by October 15, 2023
Recommended Action Plan: Chapter Operations Audit to be completed by the Administrative Office with the JMU FSL team’s support due December 8, 2023
