What is your current position? 

Research Director at Genocide Watch and Project Officer at Armed Conflict Location and Event Database. 

How did the International Affairs major prepare you for this? 

The B.A. in International Affairs gave me a strong foundation in understanding how the international system operates. The excellent professors I encountered during my time at JMU's Department of Political Science provided me with clear and insightful lessons and training that I use daily in my academic and professional careers. Futhermore, the program's emphasis on foreign languages and concise analytical writing has helped greatly in pursuing new opportunities in the fields of international affairs, conflict resolution, and international development.
