Dr. Green’s current research examines the political development of criminal legal institutions and their continued impact on public policy and public safety outcomes. He is especially interested in the relationship between changes in criminal legal institutions, urban demographics and economies, and the distribution of formal political power. His works-in-progress examine the political development of police unions and the politics of police accountability.
