Joel Hensley is a new instructor in the Political Science department, teaching U.S. Government. He has worked in several positions for the Virginia House of Delegates and the U.S. House of Representatives and is a small business owner. He currently serves as a member of the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors and has written a biography on a late Virginia politician Richard Obenshain: A Spirit of Fire (2019). He earned his Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University and received a Masters of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019.
