Nicole Neitzey is the Assistant Director of CISR and acts as program manager/grants officer. She was formerly technical editor and managing editor for The Journal of ERW and Mine Action. She is also an adjunct professor in the Political Science department, teaching proposal writing and project management in the MPA and PPA programs. She has worked for CISR since 2001, where she has served as project manager for the Study on the Aging Underwater Munitions, Support to AUK Office of Grants Management, ORDATA/CORD, the Pathways to Resilience Program (Lebanon), the Study on U.S.-origin Landmines, Consortium for Complex Operations Portal Review project and the U.S. Department of State CD-ROM project, as well as assisted with several Senior Managers’ Courses.
She earned a Master of Public Administration from JMU in 2015 with a concentration in nonprofit management, and since 2016 has taught an MPA course on Proposal Writing and Project Management. She is a “Double Duke”, having also graduated from JMU in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in technical and scientific communication, and a specialization in online publications.
