Ms. Cindy Noftsinger is Development Officer at Sunnyside Communities. She is also an adjunct professor in the Political Science department, Nonprofit Management in the MPA and PPA programs.  She has worked for a variety of local nonprofits and in multiple capacities, such as CEO, Development and Community Relations Director, Board member, grant writer and volunteer. For the past 8 years she served on JMU's Parent Council. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Charlottesville's Planned Giving Council and the Virginia Council of Charitable Planned Giving. 

She earned a Master of Public Administration from JMU in 2016 with a concentration in nonprofit management. Prior to that, she graduated from JMU in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Education.
