Craig Short - JMU Associate Vice President of Business Services is a proud alum of the JMU Master of Public Administration Program. Before returning to JMU in 2023 in his current role, Craig served as the Vice President of Financial and Administrative Services at Laurel Ridge Community College as well as served on the board of the Laurel Ridge Community College Educational Foundation as it's Ex Officio Treasurer. Prior to that role, he spent 10 years at JMU, most recently as the Executive Director of Facilities and Construction. Earlier in his career, Craig worked on construction and urban re-development projects in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. in both private and public sector capacities as well as served in Director-level roles at the Housing and Redevelopment Authorities of Washington DC and Richmond, Virginia. His career has a strong emphasis in areas of public sector service/project delivery and organizational/personnel management. Among other career related interests, Craig is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, a Virginia Construction Contracting Officer, and an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council.
