Where are you from?  Why did you choose JMU?
I am from Manassas Virginia. I chose JMU because my cousin graduated from JMU and when I visited the campus the people were very welcoming, and the campus was beautiful. 

Why did you decide to participate in Washington Semester?
I chose to participate in the Washington Semester because I heard great things from alumni, and I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to get internship experience and build my resume.

What were the highlights of your internship?
The highlights of my internship were the people I worked with and what I was able to achieve with my work. I now feel comfortable with handling a professional workload. 

What advice would you offer to future Washington Semester students?
I would tell them to make sure to maintain a healthy work/life balance and make sure to take advantage of both the professional opportunities and the opportunities of living in D.C. 

What are your long-term career plans?
My long-term goal is to get a career in the State Department or another agency where I would be able to pursue a career in diplomacy and international politics.
