The university's home in the nation's capital
The JMU Washington Center is a flexible venue for university programs and events in the nation’s capital. Located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, the Center is home to the JMU Washington Semester program. It features a classroom/event space that can be used for meetings, presentations, workshops, and other functions (see photo above). The tables and chairs can be arranged conference or classroom-style, or removed for a stand-up reception. It is equipped with projector and screen. The space has an abundance of natural light. Capacity: 30 seated, 45 standing.

- Fully equipped kitchen for catering (refrigerator, microwave, sink and dishwasher)
- High-capacity wireless internet
- Shared office available for faculty, event organizers, and/or administrators
Other features of the building:
- 10-minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro station
- Garage parking in the building. Street parking also available.
- Walking distance from numerous restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and stores in the Dupont Circle and Logan Circle neighborhoods
- For larger events, there is a conference center on the first floor adjacent to a courtyard (capacity: 175). In the adjacent building, there is a rooftop meeting/event space with a terrace (capacity: 50).
