Industrial Hemp Interests

The hemp industry has undergone a rapid expansion in recent years, and many experts predict that the annual growth rate will reach approximately 35 percent by 2025. Due to this surge in popularity, many local farmers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders have expressed an interest in participating in the hemp sector. As a member of the JMU team, my focus explores the economic feasibility of growing an industrial hemp economy in the Shenandoah Valley.
