Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship established in memory of Ruth B. Spitzer, a JMU alumna, to award scholarships to keyboard majors on the basis of accomplishment and potential as well as financial need. If no keyboard majors are available, students majoring in voice may then be considered. If no keyboard or voice majors qualify, a clarinet student may then be considered. Recipients shall be chosen by the music department head, and a keyboard or voice instructor from the music department.
