Duke Biber is an Assistant Professor of Health Science at James Madison University with a specific expertise in exercise psychology and health behavior change. Duke earned his B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University, M.S. In Sport and Exercise Psychology from Georgia Southern University, and Ph.D. In Kinesiology from Georgia State University. He is a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching and has over ten years consulting with individuals, families, and organizations to promote healthy behavior change and sustainable weight loss. Dr. Biber has also provided sport psychology consulting to athletes from Georgia State University, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Virginia. His research focuses on physical activity motivation and adherence, mental health screening of athletes, and positive psychology.
