Lori Gano-Overway is an associate professor and coaching education minor program director at James Madison University. She completed her graduate degrees at Purdue University (MS) and Michigan State University (PhD). Lori has been involved in coaching education for over 20 years and conducts research on how coaches can create positive environments for young people to foster holistic athlete development. As a certified mental performance consultant, she works with athletes on performance enhancement issues and collaborates with coaches on creating environments that foster positive experiences and performance enhancement outcomes for athletes. Lori is actively involved with the United States Center for Coaching Excellence, the Virginia High School League coaching education committee and the Positive Coaching Alliance as a member of the National Advisory Board PYD Council.
