Amber (they/them/theirs) is one of two Graduate Assistants for Well Dukes. They have recently graduated from JMU in 2024, studying both English literature and Psychology for a B.A. in English and Psychology. Now, Amber has entered JMU's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's Program where they hope to become a licensed professional counselor. Amber hopes to continue their education after their master's and develop their research interests in gender-sexuality, multicultural counseling, and gender-affirming care. Amber is a half Thai/Lao, first-generation college student from Arlington County, Virginia. Outside of Well Dukes, Amber loves to spend time with their friends and community. They love art and music, enjoying the Shenandoah Valley for its wide community of artists.
