The JMU chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) works to provide students better insight into the professional world of speech-language pathology and audiology through presentations and opportunities to get to know their professors. NSSLHA believes the faculty is a very important influence on the students, and that students can make significant contributions to the faculty, as well. Students are able to get to know their peers, form relationships with their professors, and learn about topics related to the field including research being conducted at JMU. The chapter also offers social events for students and faculty, fostering interaction in a relaxed environment

Our local chapter dues are $20.00 for the year or $15.00 per semester. If you are a National NSSLHA member, local dues are $5.00 for the year with proof of national membership. For those wishing to join the national chapter only, dues for National membership are $60.00 per year - http://www.asha.org/members/nsslha/.
