  • In 2016, the Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior presented the Third Annual Seminal Article Award for articles published in the 48-year history of their signature Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis to the Stokes and Baer (1977) article “An implicit technology of generalization.”
  • In 2016, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies republished 15 seminal papers from the 47-year history of their signature journal, Behavior Therapy, and included the article written by Stokes and Osnes (1989), “An operant pursuit of generalization.”
  • In 2017, Dr. Stokes was selected as a Fulbright Scholar for Georgia-Sakartvelo at Ilia Chavchavadze State University, Tbilisi. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
