JMU offers a 4-year program leading to a Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- Students entering the university as freshman, complete the General Education Program, prerequisite courses, electives, and nursing electives during the first two years prior to applying to the BSN program.
- Students transferring to the university from another college or university need to complete one full time semester at JMU prior to applying to the BSN program.
- Students who hold a bachelor’s degree from another institution may not earn a second bachelor’s degree through JMU.
The BSN program prepares entry-level generalists nurses. The curriculum exemplifies the School of Nursing Student Learning Outcomes.
