Class of 2026 (May)

Hometown: Falls Church, VA

About me: I am a junior studying Computer Science, with a minor in data analytics, who is very involved with JMU and the happenings. Outside of school, I am involved in quite a few extracurriculars and activities ranging from clubs to sports to the gym to being outdoors to binging TV shows (I don’t have the time for this one though). I am interested in cyber security and data analytics and where those fields crossover, as well as serving my country when I graduate.

Why I’m at JMU CS: JMU CS called out to me when I heard that the professors are here to teach, not just to do research like some of the other programs I was looking at. Having small class sizes and professors that are passionate about teaching has enabled me to succeed and grow my skills. Additionally, purple is my favorite color and JMU has a primary color of purple so that’s awesome. Lastly, JMU and JMU CS has created a great community where not only the professors want you to succeed, but your peers want you to as well (the people here are great).

Clubs and Interests: I am involved in activities ranging from various student employment to the cyber defense club, as well as serving on the executive board of the JMU Men’s Club Lacrosse team. I also work in various capacities for the university and do a good bit of volunteer work for the local community!
