About Me: Hi, I'm Kendall! I am a Computer Science major with a minor in Computational Analytics!  My CS journey began when I was in 6th grade and I joined my school’s VEX Robotics team, and they needed someone to learn how to program!  During my summers, I work at a toy store on the beach! Outside of CS, I am a member of the JMU Pep Band, and had the opportunity last year to travel to Brooklyn for JMU’s March Madness games!  In my free time, I enjoy baking, hiking, and exploring Downtown Harrisonburg! As an ambassador, I run the JMU CS social media accounts!

Why I’m at JMU CS: I knew that JMU was the place for me when I watched the sunset from King Hall during my first visit!  I loved how the Computer Science community was so welcoming to me when I was just a prospective student and I love how important community is in our department!  Our program also allows students to have time to explore other interests, even if they aren’t CS-related, which has allowed me to be so involved in the music community here at JMU as well!  Our professors are genuinely interested in each and every student, and provide so many opportunities inside and outside of class if you need them for anything!

Clubs and Interests: I am currently the President of the JMU chapter of Women In Technology! I was a member of the Marching Royal Dukes for my first two years at JMU and am currently a member of the JMU Pep Band!
