Class of 2027
Genesis chose JMU Engineering because it allowed her to learn and explore different engineering fields, allowing her to discover her true passion. She was excited to start as an EA and help fellow students. “Becoming an EA meant I could share the love I have for the department and hopefully encourage others to explore engineering too.”
In her free time, Genesis participates in JMU’s Madison Welders. She also enjoys cooking, reading and hanging out with friends.
How is JMU Engineering preparing you for your future?
“JMU Engineering provided me with hands-on experience and helped me gain confidence in the work I do.”
Advice for prospective students:
“Don’t be afraid of putting yourself out there. College is full of new opportunities and experiences, so take the chance to learn something new; you never know what you’ll end up liking.”
