Class of 2027

When picking a program, Leonard wanted to be close to family while exploring his potential discipline. He became an EA to gain experience as an engineering teacher.

Outside of academics, Leonard loves to ski and is the vice president of JMU’s Ski and Snowboard team. He also spends his time building robots and lifting weights.

How is JMU Engineering preparing you for your future?

“The program helped me understand what I want to do with engineering. It also provided resources needed to succeed.”

Advice for prospective students:

“My biggest piece of advice is to dive into campus life early on. Exploring clubs, events and networking opportunities will help you find your niche and make the most of your time at JMU.”
