JMU VITA Services 2025
Who qualifies for the JMU VITA services?
- We can assist taxpayers with income up to $68,000.
- We will have a Spanish translator available each week. If you need another language translator, please bring someone with you.
How it works
- Make an appointment
- Select your appointment date and time
- Enter your information
This year we have changed to a drop off service. You will drop off your tax information, and we will prepare your return. You will return the next week to file your return and pick up your information and completed return.

What to bring:
- A photo ID for taxpayer and spouse + Social Security/ITIN cards (or photocopies) for taxpayers and all dependents
- A copy of last year's tax return
- All forms W-2 and 1099
- Information for all deductions/credits
- Account information for direct deposit of refund (routing number and accounting number)
- Form 1095-A if you purchased health insurance through the Marketplace
Location: Hartman Hall Lobby, 421 Bluestone Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22807
Parking: Parking will be available in the lot across from Hartman Hall (P Lot). Parking Services will not be ticketing on Friday evenings.
