Dr. Rachel Grimsby, an Assistant Professor at James Madison University, has over fifteen years of experience in teaching elementary general music and choir. Her research focuses on music education for students with disabilities, music teacher preparation, and the intersection of music and language acquisition. She has presented at state, national, and international conferences and has been widely published. Fully certified in Feierabend, Kodály, and Orff methodologies, Dr. Grimsby also holds GIML Elementary I and II certificates and is a member of several professional organizations. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, gaming, and family time.
