Dr. Amy Thelk is the Associate Dean of Internal Supports and Accountability at James Madison University’s College of Education, holding a Ph.D. in Assessment and Measurement from JMU and an M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She began her career as a Mental Health Clinician and Rehabilitation Counselor, which sparked her interest in improving instrumentation for these populations. She currently teaches a general education course in learning across the lifespan (EDUC 175E); other courses taught include graduate research methods and statistics. When not at JMU, Dr. Thelk enjoys travel, spending time with family, and being outdoors as much as possible.
