Our 30-credit-hour Master of Education In Education with a concentration in Learning Design and Technology is a 100% synchronous online program designed for your convenience. This innovative program equips you with strategic skills in educational technology and instructional design needed to lead in the learning design and technologies workspace while advancing people, projects, and ethical policies and practices. You’ll engage with real-world projects and gain expertise from industry-leading educators, all while studying at your own pace.
We've designed our program for learners from all undergraduate backgrounds. Some learners in the program are K-12 teachers who want to use technology to support interactive, engaging, and accessible learning for their students. Other learners in the program work in colleges and universities, non-profits, or the corporate training industry and want to better understand the role of technology to advance workplace and professional learning. The one trait they share is an interest in the fast-growing field of learning design and instructional technology.

Program Benefits
- The Learning Design and Technology M.Ed. program is offered entirely online in a synchronous format, giving students the ability to join live class sessions from anywhere.
- All courses and course materials are currently delivered in English using the Canvas learning management system.
- Each course is scheduled between 5:45p.m. – 8:15p.m. ET/EST/EDT one evening a week, on weekdays.

Admission Requirements
All criteria are considered when reviewing the candidates for admission. You should meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university (official transcripts required)
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. If a 2.5 to 2.9 instead, conditional admittance will be considered.
- Professional resume
- 2 professional letters of reference
- Work experience is preferred
- 2-3 page, written statement (double spaced) describing your professional background, the educational issues that you would like to address in the master's program and your long-term professional goals
- Work samples: 2 to 3 examples of how you are designing and developing learning experiences, using technologies
- Video - Record a video, no longer than 5 minutes, directly within the application (note: pre-recorded videos cannot be uploaded). In your video, briefly describe your short-term professional interests and long-term goals, and explain what drew you to this program and how it aligns with your aspirations. Additionally, discuss the purpose, audience, learning objectives, and outcomes of one of your work samples.
