Cynthia is the Senior Director of the Office of Strategic Gifts.  After receiving her undergraduate degree in Communications from James Madison University, she embarked on a diverse career path that included facilitating partnerships in the fields of banking, public broadcasting, pharmaceutical sales and health and wellness.  Cynthia returned to JMU in 2010 and is thrilled to lead a passionate and dedicated development team skilled at raising awareness and investments for key strategic priorities at the university.

A New Jersey native, Cynthia has made her home and raised her family in the Shenandoah Valley.  Her son is pursuing an acting career in NYC and her daughter (also a JMU alumna) is in the healthcare field. Outside of work, she enjoys adventuring in the great outdoors by foot and bicycle, cheering on the Dukes, taking in fine and performing arts, and “exploring” with her young grandson.
