Previously, Steve worked in the newspaper industry as the Director of Advertising for regional newspaper group, the Daily News Record. He joined the Strategic Gifts team in August of 2018. As a Harrisonburg native, Steve has been active with community civic groups such as the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club and the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, serving on the board of directors and as Chairman of the Board in 2012.

Steve is married to Anne Leake Turner and they share their home with Maya, their five-year old Lab-mix. When not working, Steve and Anne enjoy travel, eating healthy food, shopping at the local farmers’ market and following JMU athletics. Whenever possible, he pursues his lifelong love affair with the game of golf.
