All Hospitality Management (HM) majors must complete either the General Business Minor or the Entrepreneurship Minor.
General Business Minor
The General Business minor must be declared through MyMadison.
Focused course topics include: accounting, finance, computer information systems, management and organizational behavior, micro-economics and principles of marketing.
Entrepreneurship Minor
The Entrepreneurship minor must be declared through MyMadison.
Focused course topics include: accounting, finance, management of innovation and technology, new venture creation and entrepreneurship and small business management.
The B.S. degree in Hospitality Management (HM) requires a minimum of 120 credit hours of undergraduate coursework.
In addition to completing the Business or Entrepreneurship minor, major course topics include: hospitality and tourism, foundations of leadership, cost control and budgeting, culinary arts and menu management, lodging, clubs, and resort operations and technology, event management, profit optimization and revenue and human resources management.

Elective course topics include: hospitality law and ethics, country club and beverage management, wine and culture.
