Mission statement
The Inclusive Event Planners Alliance advances the conversation on issues related to inclusion, equity, diversity, accessibility and belonging in events, conferences, workshops and activities.
Objective
Leverage real-time knowledge of event planners to promote and arrange inclusive and accessible experiences and serve as a platform for ongoing community feedback related thereto to enhance the artistic, cultural, commemorative and intellectual life of the campus while providing recommendations to the division heads for final approval.

Comprehensive Inclusive Events Guide
Subcommittee Goal - Develop a comprehensive guide for planning inclusive events, seminars, and activities at JMU. This guide will serve as a valuable resource for event planners to create accessible and engaging experiences for all participants.

Online Planning and Communication Platform
Subcommittee Goal - Suggest infrastructure for an online instrument that will complement the guide to manage real-time planning and communication between university entities and event planners.

Policy Recommendations
Subcommittee Goal - Work in collaboration with the University Policy Committee to propose modifications or new policies that support inclusive event planning and where necessary, the ADA 504 Coordinator regarding Accessibility.

Marketing Strategies
Subcommittee Goal -Develop marketing plans that are mindful of the needs and interests of existing units, departments, student organizations and individuals with planning interest, responsibility and oversight.
