The madiSTEM conference moved to a new location starting in 2022.  All activities will be held in King Hall and the EnGeo buildings on the JMU campus. (This is on the east side of I-81.). The street address is 701 Carrier Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22807. 

Directions from I-81

IF COMING FROM THE SOUTH, take the Port Republic Road exit (Exit 245) and turn LEFT onto Port Republic Road. After going over the interstate, turn RIGHT onto Bluestone Drive to enter the JMU campus.  At the traffic light, turn RIGHT onto Carrier Drive.  After crossing over the interstate, the entrance to the parking lot will be on your left.  

IF COMING FROM THE NORTH, take the Port Republic Road exit (Exit 245) and turn RIGHT onto Port Republic Road.    At the first traffic light, turn RIGHT onto Bluestone Drive to enter the JMU campus.  At the traffic light, turn RIGHT onto Carrier Drive.  After crossing over the interstate, the entrance to the parking lot will be on your left.  

When you arrive at King Hall and EnGeo buildings look for the parking signs (D2 parking lot). You may park in any standard parking space in this lot, and our volunteers will direct you to overflow lots if needed. Note that you are not allowed to park in Service Vehicle spaces, fire lanes, reserved spots, or other prohibited areas. Parking in accessible spaces requires the proper permit.  Timed/metered spaces require payment as indicated on the meters. These restricted spaces are clearly marked with signs.

Our volunteers in bright yellow shirts will be waiting to help you find packet pickup and check-in.  Note that the standard route to check-in involves a walk and stairs.  If you need an alternate route, just let our outside volunteers know, and they will be happy to assist you.
