There are several affordable local and chain restaurants in this center, including Franco's (pizza and Italian food in a comfortably gracious atmosphere), Xenia (Mediterranean food), Chipotle (burritos), Panera Bread (sandwiches, soups and baked goods), and a Starbucks inside the Barnes and Noble. Lunch or dinner at any of these restaurants could be bought for under $15.

An large number of restaurants offering many different styles and costs of food can be found at Court Square and downtown (where Route 33 intersects Main Street) environs.
Lodging:
We recommend the Quality Inn , (formerly the Jameson) or the Marriot Residence lnn. When making a reservation, be sure to request the state goverment rate of about $90 per night. You can contact the organizers at sums@jmu.edu to provide JMU authentication of your attendance.
For local flavour, a charming bed-and-breakfast located between the historic downtown and the university is the Joshua Wilton House.
